A few weeks ago I shared with you Jamie’s Coconut Cauliflower vegan curry. I love Jamie’s food, its easy, quick and affordable. So today I thought I’d share with you Jamie’e tasty Daal Curry. You can find his recipe in his 15 minute meal’s book which you can buy here.
To make the Daal you will need.
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 thumb sized piece of ginger
- 2 fresh chillies
- 1 red pepper
- 1 big bunch of coriander
- 1 small handful of fresh curry leaves
- 1 1/2 cup lentils
- 3 1/2 cups water
1: Blitz onion, garlic, ginger and chilies in food processor until fine.
2: Place in saucepan and cook until browned then remove from heat
3: Chop red pepper into cube size and add to saucepan
3: Add the lentils, water and curry leaves to saucepan and put back on the stove. Cook for 10 minutes or until lentils are soft.
4: Serve with coriander on top to taste
